A super quick color pass on the first one.. Im gonna add some weapons, like a saw, some explosive juggling pins, maybe a ring of fire, who knows! =)

Completely redesign the character. Keeping the stuff i like from the previous ones.

Started with this weeks topic, “NPC” (non playable character). So the task is to design three different npc’s based on the same fictional 3d-model. I decided on this posse  of three clown/carnivalguys. Enjoy!

Continued today, im pretty much done with the design, and I just glazed some basic color on it. I’m trying a new technique where I define everything really tight in gray scale, then add a few layers of basic color with the layermode set to ‘color’. I usually never work like this. I dont really like the way the color works when you dont paint it from scratch, but the positive with defining it tight in gray scale first is that your values are usually alot better.  And yeah, i know her boots look awful, I’ll be sure to fix that -.-v

Im gonna start painting for real later today/this weekend.

I’ve mostly been doing studies lately, from books and life. Because I really need to get better… Its tough keeping myself motivated when I feel that i’m not improving quickly enough..

Not really super happy how it turned out but bleh..

Also started today with this weeks chow. Its a smart, modestly but fashionably dressed alien queen, kinda..

I’ve drawn, and redrawn this guy like a billion times. I thought I would never attempt to finish, because everything I did sucked big time..

But I stuck with it and I think it has a bit of potential. Gonna draw more on the background tomorrow.

I decided to try using Painter X instead of Photoshop and this is the result. I reaaally love the way the brushes blend the color, feels more real. But I’m so sucky at the program I feel i have no real control.

Did this guy a few days back. Burn victim gone monster! Brr.

Been a while since I tried doing a portrait from a reference, so this was my lame attempt..

Did a little nude tonight from memory. I really should use reference, but I want to be able to draw anything from mind, and its alot more fun.

This weeks topic is napoleonic naval hero. Did alot of reference searching today, and this little sketch before bed. Im thinking that his ship is under attack and its nearly sunk, but the hero pushes his men forward to make their last stand!
